Hi, I’m Frankie

I’m a BACP-registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and UKCP-registered trainee integrative Psychotherapist, working with adults in Oxfordshire and online. I bring lived experience of queerness and neurodivergence to my work.

In addition to 5 years’ of postgraduate study, I have nine years’ full-time experience in relational roles across community, residential and mental healthcare settings, and I am also an experienced youth worker. I am privileged by my experience of working alongside young people through some of their proudest and/or most difficult moments, which has taught me so much about how resilient, caring and resourceful human beings can be.

I have particular experience of working therapeutically with LGBTQ+ and/or neurodivergent individuals, helpers and creatives, but I am experienced in a broad range of emotional and existential issues. Trauma-informed and anti-oppressive principles are at the heart of my approach.

I also work with groups, teams and organisations, finding creative ways to create kinder and more sustainable workplace experiences – please feel free to reach out if you are interested in consultancy services.

I’ve always been deeply drawn to people. I started studying Counselling and Psychotherapy a few years after my own experience of affordable counselling as a young person, which changed the trajectory of my circumstances. I chose this field because I believe that people really matter, and because I believe that helping relationships can make a difference.

When I am not in the therapy room, youth working or consulting, you’ll usually find me creating, writing or photographing, working on documentary projects or spending time with loved ones.
